Production, Returns & Refunds Policy

Due to the nature of our business and products, the following terms and conditions govern our Returns and Exchanges. Important Information

Due to varying fabric sizes and weights, we cannot confirm the exact weight of your package until it is ready for shipping.

  • Shipping rates listed on the website apply to packages weighing between 0.5 to 2kg only.
  • If your package exceeds 2kg, we will contact you to cover the additional shipping balance.
  • You may also opt to use your own shipping method.

Production & Ready-to-Wear (RTW)

The Rail Nigeria offers both Ready-To-Wear and Made-To-Order items. This means that some items may be available for immediate dispatch, while others require production.

  • Production Time: Production can take between 2 to 14 business days. There is no express production option. Items may be dispatched anytime within this timeframe.
  • Custom Size & Amednments: We do not make custom items using measurements. Please shop using our size guide. We do not offer alterations or amendments.
  • Urgent Orders: If you require an item urgently, please confirm that it is available in stock and does not require additional production time before dispatch.
  • Fabric Availability: If the fabric for your made-to-order piece is out of stock and we are able to procure it, this may delay your delivery. We appreciate your understanding as we work to fulfill your order.

Please note that items marked as "in stock" indicate availability for production but may not be immediately ready for shipping. Additional processing time may be required.

For customers who are taller than average, please inform us while placing your order. We offer limited tall lengths (63-65 inches).


Domestic Shipping

  • Abuja: Delivery within Abuja takes 1-5 business days after production.
  • Outside Abuja (Nigeria): Deliveries outside Abuja but within Nigeria take 4-7 business days after production.

International Shipping

All international orders are fulfilled by DHL, ensuring each package is trackable. International delivery typically takes 7-10 business days after production.


Return Policy

Sales: All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges are available on sale items, and complimentary alteration services are not provided for sale items.

Returns & Exchanges: Items are eligible for return, exchange, or refund only if The Rail Nigeria receives them within the following timeframes:

  • Abuja Orders: 3 business days from the date of delivery or pickup.
  • Nigerian Orders (Outside Abuja): 5 business days from the date of delivery.
  • International Orders: 10 business days from the date of delivery.

The items must be physically in our possession within these timeframes to qualify for return or exchange. There are no exceptions to this rule. Items must be in the same condition as received, with tags intact, and accompanied by a receipt for proof of purchase. The Rail Nigeria reserves the right to reject returns sent beyond the return period limit or items not in the same condition in which they were received.

Faulty Items: Items are considered faulty if they do not meet our quality standards, which require that items match their description and be of satisfactory quality. If you receive a faulty item, you may request an adjustment or replacement within 72 hours. Please email support@therailclothing.com with images of any faulty items.

Please note that if the customer chooses to exchange a faulty item for a new one, they will bear all shipping costs. Items faulty due to production error may have the delivery charge reimbursed at our discretion.


Returns on Full-Price Items

We accept returns on full-price items (excluding sale items) within the designated timeframes based on location. All returned items must be in original, unused condition, free from stains or damage.

Once you receive confirmation to return an item, please ensure it reaches us within:

  • Abuja Orders: 3 business days from delivery or pickup.
  • Nigerian Orders (Outside Abuja): 5 business days from delivery.
  • International Orders: 10 business days from delivery.

Returned items must be in their original condition, including all packaging, boxes, dust bags, and any other materials included in the purchase. The Rail Nigeria reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions, and such items may be sent back to the customer or require the customer to arrange for collection.

Refunds

Upon receiving and inspecting your returned item, we will notify you of the status of your refund. If approved, refunds will be issued in the form of a gift card for store credit or, at our discretion, refunded to the original payment method within 7-10 business days, depending on your payment gateway.

For items deemed faulty due to production error, the delivery charge may be reimbursed at our discretion.


Return Shipping

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs, which are non-refundable. For approved refunds, the return shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount. For exchanges, customers are responsible for any additional delivery fees.


Methods of Refunding

All returns are at the customer’s expense, and refunds are issued as a gift card after deducting initial shipment costs and applicable duties. We make every effort to display colors as accurately as possible on www.therailclothing.com, but due to variations in monitor displays, we cannot guarantee exact color accuracy.

The Rail Nigeria is not responsible for color discrepancies due to individual monitor settings or technical issues.
