The Rail Nigeria (“The Rail Nigeria”, “we”, “us”) operates the website www.therailnigeria.com (the “Site”). These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website and the purchase of our products.
By placing an order with The Rail Nigeria, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase. We recommend that you save a copy for future reference.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will not affect orders already placed, unless required by law.
Eligibility to Purchase
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract and authorized under the laws of your country to make online purchases. Any individual with valid payment details and internet access may purchase from therailnigeria.com.
Product Availability
All products displayed on the website are subject to availability. Availability reflects stock status at the time of ordering; however, this may change before processing is complete.
The Rail Nigeria reserves the right to:
- Verify order details
- Confirm product availability
- Decline or cancel orders where necessary
Customers will be notified if an item is unavailable or if an order cannot be fulfilled.
We also reserve the right to limit quantities purchased per customer or address and may cancel multiple orders for the same product.
Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in the currency shown on the website and are subject to change without notice.
Payments are processed securely through our approved payment partners. By placing an order, you confirm that:
- You are authorized to use the selected payment method
- The payment details provided are accurate and valid
Submitting an order authorizes The Rail Nigeria to charge your card or selected payment method immediately upon order confirmation.
Pricing Errors
While we strive to ensure all prices and product information on our website are accurate, errors may occasionally occur.
If an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to a typographical or system error, The Rail Nigeria reserves the right to cancel or refuse the order, even after payment has been processed. Any payment received will be refunded in full.
Made-To-Order (MTO) Items
Made-to-Order items are produced specifically for each customer.
- Production timelines vary and will be communicated at the point of purchase.
- Minor variations in colour, print placement, or finishing may occur due to the handcrafted nature of production.
- Made-to-Order items are final sale and not eligible for refunds or exchanges, except in cases of proven manufacturing defects.
Sizing & Fit
Customers are responsible for reviewing the size chart and product descriptions before placing an order. The Rail Nigeria is not liable for sizing issues resulting from incorrect size selection.
Shipping & Delivery
Orders are typically dispatched within 7–14 working days after payment confirmation. This timeline excludes Made-To-Order (MTO) production periods, which vary by item.
Delivery timelines begin only after dispatch, not at checkout or payment confirmation.
Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on delivery address and estimated parcel weight. Due to variations in fabric weight and packaging, shipping fees shown at checkout are estimates. Where the final shipping cost exceeds the amount paid, customers will be contacted to cover the additional balance before the order is processed.
We ship internationally to destinations with accessible air or sea ports.
Once an order has been handed over to the courier:
- Delivery timelines are outside our control
- Delays caused by customs processing, weather conditions, public holidays, or courier operations are not the responsibility of The Rail Nigeria
- Responsibility for the parcel passes to the customer
If a customer refuses delivery, fails to accept delivery, does not collect the parcel, or refuses to pay applicable customs duties, all return shipping, customs, handling, and courier fees will be deducted or charged accordingly. No refunds will be issued for uncollected or refused parcels. Store credit may be issued at our discretion once returned items are received and inspected.
Delivery timelines vary by location and order type and are subject to courier operations. Next-day or express delivery refers to transit time after dispatch, not production or processing time.
Customers with time-sensitive orders or event dates are strongly advised to place orders well in advance and clearly state the required date in the order notes. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests, delivery by a specific date is not guaranteed.

Duties, Taxes & Customs
The Rail Nigeria does not charge or collect customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees at checkout.
For international orders, any customs duties, import taxes, or clearance charges imposed by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the recipient and are payable directly to the courier (such as DHL or any other delivery service used) upon arrival in the destination country.
The Rail Nigeria has no control over these charges and cannot estimate or waive them, as they are determined by local customs authorities.
If a customer refuses to pay applicable duties or taxes and the parcel is returned, held, or destroyed by customs or the courier, no refund will be issued, and all associated return shipping or handling costs will be deducted where applicable.
Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
- Ready-To-Wear (RTW) items may be eligible for exchange only, subject to our Returns Policy.
- No refunds on Sale items, Made-To-Order items, or customized pieces.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable.

Product Images & Colours
We make every effort to display products accurately. However, colour representation may vary due to screen settings and device differences.
The Rail Nigeria cannot guarantee that colours viewed on your device will exactly match the physical product.
Product images may include styling, accessories, or layering for presentation purposes only. Items sold include only the product described unless otherwise stated.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including images, designs, text, logos, and graphics, is the exclusive property of The Rail Nigeria. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
Force Majeure
The Rail Nigeria shall not be held liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, courier disruptions, government actions, or technical failures.
Fraud Protection
The Rail Nigeria reserves the right to conduct security checks on any order placed on our website. If an order is flagged as potentially fraudulent, we may:
- Request additional verification
- Delay processing
- Cancel the order entirely
Where fraud is suspected, The Rail Nigeria may refuse to process or fulfil the order without liability. Any attempted fraudulent activity will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Account Termination & Access Restriction
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to:
- Suspend or terminate customer accounts
- Restrict access to our website
- Refuse future transactions
This may occur if a customer:
- Violates these Terms & Conditions
- Engages in abusive, threatening, or fraudulent behaviour
- Attempts to manipulate pricing, promotions, or refunds
- Repeatedly refuses deliveries or disputes legitimate charges
Account termination does not affect any existing legal rights or obligations.
Right to Cancel Suspicious Orders
The Rail Nigeria reserves the right to cancel any order that appears suspicious, inaccurate, or incomplete, including but not limited to:
- Mismatched billing and shipping information
- Unverifiable payment details
- Unusual ordering patterns or quantities
- Orders flagged by our payment or fraud prevention systems
In such cases, any payments received will be refunded to the original payment method where applicable.
Event & Date-Specific Delivery Disclaimer
If your order is intended for a specific event or date, it is the customer’s responsibility to:
- Place orders well in advance
- Clearly state the required date in the order notes
While we make every reasonable effort to meet delivery timelines, The Rail Nigeria does not guarantee delivery by a specific date. We are not liable for delays caused by couriers, customs, public holidays, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond our control.
We strongly recommend placing time-sensitive orders early to avoid disappointment.
Abuse, Chargebacks & Misuse
Customers who initiate chargebacks without first contacting The Rail Nigeria to resolve an issue may have their accounts restricted or banned.
Abusive behaviour toward staff, including harassment, threats, or defamatory statements online or offline, will not be tolerated and may result in order cancellation or account termination.
No Waiver
Failure by The Rail Nigeria to enforce any right or provision of these Terms & Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
