Placing an order confirms acceptance of the terms outlined below.
Important Information
- Due to varying fabric sizes, designs, and packaging, final parcel weight cannot always be confirmed at checkout.
- Shipping rates listed on our website apply to parcels between 0.5–2kg and are estimates only.
- If the final shipping cost exceeds the amount paid, customers will be contacted to cover the additional balance before dispatch.
- Customers may select their preferred shipping method; however, The Rail Nigeria is not responsible for loss, theft, or delay once a parcel has been handed over to the courier.
- Public holidays, festive periods, and peak seasons may affect courier processing times.
If your order is time-sensitive or for a specific event, please order well in advance and clearly state the required date in the order notes. Delivery by a specific date is not guaranteed.
Delivery Partners & Tracking
For deliveries outside Abuja, Nigeria, we partner with GIG and DHL (or equivalent courier services).
- Tracking is included on all shipped orders.
- Tracking numbers are sent via email once dispatch occurs.

Tracking numbers, dispatch confirmations, and delivery updates are sent via email once an order has been shipped. The Rail Nigeria is not responsible for delays or missed updates caused by incorrect contact details or emails filtered into spam or junk folders.
Production & Order Processing
We offer both Ready-To-Wear (RTW) and Made-To-Order (MTO) items.
Please note that items marked as "in stock" indicate availability for production but may not be immediately ready for shipping. Additional processing time may be required.
Ready-To-Wear (RTW)
- In stock and available for dispatch
- Typically processed within 1–2 working days
Made-To-Order (MTO)
- Produced specifically for each customer
- Requires 7–21 business days for production
- No express production is available
- Dispatch may occur at any point within this timeframe
⚠️ Delivery timelines begin only after production is complete and the order has been dispatched.
If you require an item urgently, it is your responsibility to confirm that it is Ready-To-Wear before placing your order.
Delivery Timelines (Estimated)
- Production Time: 1–14 business days
- Delivery within Abuja: 1–2 business days
- Interstate (Nigeria): 2–5 business days
- International: 7–14 business days
🚫 Deliveries do not occur on weekends or public holidays.
Next-day or express delivery refers strictly to transit time after dispatch, not production or processing time.
Delivery countdown begins once the parcel is shipped, not at checkout or payment confirmation.
Dispatch vs Delivery Responsibility
- Dispatch occurs when your order leaves our facility.
- Delivery is handled entirely by the courier.
Once an order has been dispatched:
- Delivery timelines are outside our control
- Delays caused by couriers, customs, weather, strikes, port congestion, or public holidays are not the responsibility of The Rail Nigeria
- Responsibility for the parcel transfers to the customer
Parcels marked as “Delivered” by the courier are considered successfully delivered. Any claims of non-receipt must be resolved directly with the courier.
Delivery Costs
- Delivery costs vary by location, weight, and courier service
- Shipping rates are determined solely by courier providers
- The Rail Nigeria does not control courier pricing

Customs & Import Duties (International Orders)
Customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees may apply upon arrival in the destination country.
- These charges are the sole responsibility of the recipient
- Fees are payable directly to the courier (e.g. DHL)
- The Rail Nigeria cannot estimate, waive, or reimburse customs charges
If customs fees are refused and the parcel is returned, held, or destroyed, no refund will be issued, and all associated costs will be deducted where applicable.
Address Changes & Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information at checkout.
To update delivery details, email customercare@therailclothing.com immediately with your order name and number.
- Changes requested after processing may cause delays
- If the parcel has already been dispatched, additional courier fees may apply
The Rail Nigeria is not liable for delivery failures caused by incorrect or incomplete address details.
Failed Delivery Attempts
If delivery fails due to:
- Incorrect address
- Incorrect contact information
- Recipient unavailability
A second delivery attempt may be made at the courier’s discretion and may incur additional charges.
It is the customer’s responsibility to contact the courier directly using the provided tracking information to reschedule delivery or arrange collection. The Rail Nigeria is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from unsuccessful delivery attempts or lack of customer response.
Uncollected or Returned Parcels
Once an order has been dispatched and marked as delivered, available for collection, or awaiting customs clearance, responsibility for the parcel rests with the customer.
Uncollected Parcels
If a parcel is not collected within the courier’s holding period and is returned:
No refunds will be issued
- Customers may request store credit for the item value only (excluding shipping and return fees)
- Store credit is issued after the parcel is received and inspected
- Damaged or unsellable items may result in partial or no credit
Reshipping Returned Orders
Reshipping requires payment of new shipping fees. Orders will only be resent after the returned parcel is received and the new fee is paid.
